The AIS subsystems process financial transactions and non financial transactions that directly affect the processing of financial transactions (changes to customers' names and addresses are process by the AIS to keep the customer file current. Although not technically a financial transaction these changes provide vital information for processing future sales). The MIS processes non financial transactions that are not normally processed by traditional IS. MIS manages the information systems for specialized functional areas such as production planning and control, sales forecasting, inventory warehouse planning, market research, and so on. </div>]]></description>

The information time frame of batch system is faster than the real-time, this is because batch systems assemble transaction into groups for processing while Real-time system process transaction individually. The batch system demand fewer organizational resources (such as programming cost, computer time, and user training) than the real-time systems. </div>]]></description>

Protocols also synchronize the transfer of data between physical devices. They provide a basis for error checking and measuring network performance. They promote compatibility among network devices.
