Skylit.Ray

1. Bill and Sam brought the kid back and seemed scared of the father.

2. It shows that the story will have a surprising end as shown when the kid wasn't scared but instead the kidnappers were.

3. There was irony since we expected the kid and father to be scared and upset but instead it was the kidnappers who were terrified.

the evidence is shown near the end of the story, showing that Bill and Sam are afraid of the father and that the father was in a monotone state only warning them about the neighbors.

And usually a kid would be scared and crying but he did not do that he wanted to play games with them.

3. It's shown at the end of the story , saying that they were afraid that the father would call the police or ask for help, but he didn't.
