STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
What separates STEM from the traditional science and math education is the blended learning environment and showing students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real world applications of problem solving.

Based on the commonalities we can see here, it is in schools’ best interest not to treat these initiatives as separate entities, but to recognize that the changes in teaching and learning called for by each is the same. PBL provides a framework of instructional strategies and content practices which can be applied and used within STEM or any content area of choice. (11-14 years) The types of learning I try to use in my learning class, project-based learning, gamification and flipped learning. I think eTwinning projects coincided with this learnings. I have been doing eTwinning projects for 2 years. I am the guidance counselor of our eTwinning club at my school. This year, we earned our school eTwinning school label. I aim that to be helpful for my students and my school with what I have learned in this MOOC. I am happy to be with teachers who love to learn in this MOOC.
