This was a fun book and had many funny twists, even though it was a quite low level of reading. I finished it in about one DEAR session. I liked the messages in the book and it was unique. But there were not a lot of pages and the words were really big, it was more like a book for 6 - 7 year olds. But for example, the book 65 Story Treehouse doesn't have many words, but is still a more difficult reading and has a better flowing story line, while in this book the storyline was unclear and random changes come out of nowhere.

Perhaps my favourite Dicken's novel, Great Expectations is a gripping tale filled with extravagant and original characters, beautifully worded text and timeless stories of life. I couldn't escape the realism and drama all wrapped up in the book. The plot is varied and complex, but it teaches so many lessons of life within each story. The only downfall to the book is that it has too many words and pages... if you're not one to read, just watch the movie!

The book is about a school shooting incident and the events in the shooting are told through 5 different perspectives (characters) who were in the school during the shooting. I felt that this book talked about a issue that is very current and as highschool student I was able to understand the emotions that the characters in the book went through. At first it was a bit confusing to understand what was happening in the book because of the different perspectives however it got clearer. Definitely would recommend this book.

It is an interesting twist on a typical high school story as it is something than any one of us could do and it is interesting to relate some of the characters I know in real life and too imagine myself in their/ her place. It is a good book if you are in high school as some of her experiences are very relatable. Good book and it's short!

However, since the last time I read it was over 6 months ago, I was able to pick out small details that I hadn't noticed before. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes stories with elements of fantasy and mystery, although they should probably read the previous 3 books or they won't really understand what is going on.
- Allegra

This book told an emotional story of the second World War through the eyes of a 9 year-old German boy(Bruno), who's father is an important person to the Fury. I found it very enjoyable and educational to read, as it incorporated many mannerisms that were present during that time and area. The view of some of the horrors of WW2 seen and described through a child's perspective was extremely interesting as well as important to tell a message about war and people. The author wrote the child's thoughts and actions very well, it was intriguing to read the justifications Bruno made and the way that he thought. I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you enjoy historical fiction and want to learn more about WW2 from a different perspective. - Imogen

Although I am not a fan of romantic teen drama this book had many other themes and elements that the story had to offer, such the world and people's social lives revolving around technology. I did as an overall like the book but was disappointed in some parts. I felt as though the book could have been longer and could have had more spanners and plot twists thrown into the works. I felt as though some of the conflicts or problems would be resolved or fixed too quickly without any surprises.

*Attention* Only read this book with the approval of your parent/guardian.

The TV show for this series of books has a lot of hype surrounding it. After reading the book, I can see why. The book keeps the reader guessing and there are a lot of plot twists. There are several things that this book does differently than regular fantasy. The biggest thing is that plot armor is out of the window. Overall provided that you have permission to read it and you are not too grossed out by mature content(gore, etc) you might enjoy this book.

P.S. - It is a very long book, around 800 pages with medium-small text

I find this a very unique book as it combines science fiction with deep emotions. The book features a teenage girl who has to go through a testing adventure in which she has to overcome all the odds that she faces to rescue her father. The story is also about how the main character matures as she goes through all the difficult challenges that she faces. So, if your looking for a book that is exciting and meaningful, then I highly recommend this book....and also it's short to read, as a bonus!

This book is described as a "chilling love story that will have you hooked from the very first page". I thought that these were bold words and honestly the book was incredibly boring. I went on to read the first couple chapters of the book and I really wasn't enjoying them. I am not really a fan of love stories, which is probably why I didn't like this book. Finding the start incredibly boring, I decided to stop reading the book. I went on the internet to find out the summary of the book which definitely sounded dull and boring in my opinion. The book is about a girl who falls in love with a wolf who is actually a boy. The girl then tries to figure out a cure for the wolf. I would not recommend this book to anyone, but maybe people who enjoy love/sci-fi will find this as a good read.
By- Akshath 9-1

Filled with not only adventure and action but also themes of gender, race and class, the book was definitely one of the greatest books I ever read. The book narrated the story of how a thirteen year old girl names Charlotte Doyle wanted to be a proper young lady but once she boarded the ship to America, her life became filled with adventures and sometimes, misery. If you like a book with good amount of suspense and adventure, I would definitely recommend it.

I haven't read the first book but I watched the live action movie based on the book so I understood the basic plot of the book.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the book as it is told in the shoes of a stereotypical American teenager who dislikes school and has a vivid imagination. There have been countless other books that sue the same character style such as Alex in "City of the Beasts" or Percy Jackson in, well "Percy Jackson".

I recommend this book to people trying to start reading these types of books as it would be a good way to enter the genre even though I dislike it as I am bored of these books.

- Pranav

I don't really read animal books so I wasn't sure that I would find it very interesting, and Black Beauty is mostly read by people from the age of 9-12. However, I enjoyed reading this book because it was like looking at the world through the eyes of a horse, and it showed me things from a different perspective. Although there were some parts of the story that were quite depressing, the ending was happy and that left me satisfied. -Samyukta

This a crime/thriller novel, a little like Dan Brown's work. I liked it; I am generally a fan of the genre, but for me this book was a little far-fetched and fast paced, but it worked out in the end. It is based around the Jewish concept of Tzadikim Nistarim, that 36 'hidden' righteous souls exist in the world at any given time and if all of them are gone, the world will end. This is a work full of drama, action and builds up to a dramatic plot-twist finale. If you like crime, thriller and mystery novels I would certainly recommend this book. It is also not very long; it took me only 2 and a half hours to read.
- Darcy Miller

The start is good as its creepy and draws the reader it but the middle just fails to keep the story going, not explaining why the Hunter kills who he kills and gives not logical reasoning. The ending picks up again and gives a slightly satisfying ending.

The book is good and enjoyable, I read it in two hours so its not a hard read and gets slightly scary but not so much that you need to stay awake at night with nightmares. If you really don't like scary things then there is no point in reading it, but if you happen to like that stuff that i would recommend it, even to those who are slightly scared.
