Jaren Machado - "Shadowland" from The Lion King

This is an excerpt from the song "Shadowland", a sublime piece featured discreetly in Disney's animated classic from 1994, "The Lion King".

This tune had its own lyrics and was featured prominently in the musical adaptation, but as far as I know, the only mention it got in the movie was in the background of a particular scene. Keep your ears peeled next time you give the movie a watch!

Also, I think that Mary did an excellent rendition of "Joy to the World". The tempo was steady, and the inflections were on-point. I apologize for writing this here, as I saw no other place to fill out this portion of the assignment. ;)

I love working with the pedals and creating my own melodies. Sometimes its a few notes from a melody from a song already written. I think it's important to play with different melodies and try to create something of your own with whatever flows out at the time. Here is an example of me warming up with a cross of something I created and a partial melody I heard from a song.
