1) Pine martens prefer forest as their habitat and they use the inside of trees for breeding and resting.

2) They are mostly active at night and dusk as they are nocturnal animals, but they are also active during the day, especially in the summer months.

3) Yes, it can climb trees because of its claws. Pine martens are known as fast and skilled climbers. They can jump up to 4 meters between trees.

4) European pine marten has been under legal protection since 1988 which means that it is illegal to kill, injure or take a wild pine marten. It's critically endangered in England and Wales as much of its woodland habitat has been lost. 

5) They are carnivorous which means they mostly eat small animals, birds, insects and frogs. They also like to eat berries, fruits, nuts and honey.

1. To become a zookeeper you need a degree in animal sciences or a related field. A two-year associate degree may be sufficient, but having a bachelor's degree can be more preferable for getting the job. Sometimes if you have volunteer experience both in zoos and in related fields, you can begin your career as a zookeeper.

2. We need to prepare a lot of various food throughout a day, it depends on the number and species of animals.

3. We train animals so that they allow keepers and doctors to take care of them. We use a combination of hand signals, spoken commands and other methods to communicate with them and teach them to perform a certain behaviour. I'd like to say that caring attitude is the best training.

4. The health and happiness of the animals is our top priority and we try to do our best to reduce their stress. We provide them with enrichment that stimulates their natural environment and we always use toys and games to make the animals' lives more fun.

5. The biggest challenge is when animals become sick or injured and when they pass away. It is really difficult for us.

1)  A wildlife biologist studies of animals in their natural habitats to learn about their environments and interactions with other living beings. We gather, analyze, and interpret data on wildlife, and we also study animals' behavior, diseases, nutrition, genetics, psychology and much more. Wildlife biologists often do research studies and complex data analysis, as well as develop plans to save endangered species and research how humans and their activities impact wildlife.   

2)  To become a wildlife biologist, you have to finish a college degree where you study about different wildlife, their habitats, behaviour, diet, genetics and many other things, so that is the reason why it is easy for us to find the animals we study. 

3)  As a wildlife biologist, I search for animals in the wild and sometimes I get too close to them without even knowing it. One time I was inspecting deer tacks with my colleague when suddenly a brown bear appeared and started running towards us. We saw it in time and ran away in the opposite direction and saved ourselves. The bear seemed aggressive but didn’t chase us for long. Later on, we realized it was a mama bear and she was only protecting her two cubs hiding in the bushes. 

4)  As a wildlife biologist, I can tell you we have a wide range of tools and machines that we use daily to study and monitor wildlife populations, habitats, and ecosystems. We use binoculars and scopes, animal control tools, waders, snake protection, outdoor game cameras, GPS devices, insect repellent, PPE (Personal protective equipment) clothing, wildlife reference books, different measuring tools for collecting data, as well as microscopes and other lab equipment for analyzing different specimens, and more. 

5)  Animals are incredible creatures, so there are many interesting facts about them, for examples, koalas sleep 22 hours a day. Did you know that starfish are actually not fish but echinoderms, marine invertebrates? Did you know that wombats make cube-shaped poop because of their stretchy intestines? Did you know that polar bears are not white but actually transparent? Also, giraffes have long blue tongues and crocodiles cannot stick out their tongues.
