 Means: This shows how Odysseus and his men were able to find an island were they could stay. Though, the island was filled with cyclops, creatures who are not the nicest, creatures who have no law, primitive in all ways. Matters: This event demonstrates an example of elevated language, it greatly elaborates the description of the Cyclopes with a lot of upper level vocabulary. Means: This elaborates on the execution of Odysseus' plan to greatly damage the Cyclops, which the plan was to stab the Cyclops eye to make him blind so that they couls escape.
Matters: This part of the text uses elevated language, to be more especific, imagery. I believe that this part of the text shows an example of imagery it's because it uses elevated vacabulary on the chosing of words to describe the deed which is stabbing the Cyclops' eye. An example of the imagery used in this part of the text is shown on lines 297, "...while blood ran out around the red hot bar". Means:  This shows the pretty clever idea that Odysseus had to escape, I believe he is very wise on the decisions he makes to get the rest of his crew alive which is to escape via the sheeps since the Cyclops is blind from the beating he got.
Matters: This shows an exxample of elaborated language since it uses the word "woolliest" in order to describe the way of acting of the sheep. Matters: This shows an element of myth because it shows an example of a hero's quest to accomplish a great feat. I think this demonstrates an element of myth becayuse the text shows how Odysseus has defeated the Cyclops with the help of the fellow companions. An example of this is when in line 392 states, "'How do you like the beating that we gave you..."' Means: This is showing how the Cyclops prayed to his father, Poseidon, to make sure that Odysseus dies on his journey home. If Odysseus must survive, the Cyclops wants him to return home alone with all his men dead. When he makes it home her will return to dark and depressing days.
Matters: This is important because it demonstrates the element of a myth. Odysseus is a mortal who has conflicts with the supernatural. In this case the conflict is how the Cyclops basically cursed him. Poseidon the god of the sea. He is the one who granted the Cyclops wish, which was to make Odysseus’s even more difficult than it already is.

Matters: This piece of evidence is an example of elevated Language, imagery and personification. The reason why this is an example of personification is because it uses the word "fingertips" which elaborates on the idea of the dawn having fingertips which is not true since it is not possible, therefore, it is personification.
