Netflix provides an escape with its vast collection of shows and movies, while Spotify keeps me company with music and podcasts that reflect my mood and personality.

These media influence me in both positive and negative ways. Instagram and Twitter expose me to different perspectives, which can inspire my aspirations and broaden my knowledge. However, I’ve noticed they can also affect my self-esteem when I compare myself to others or feel overwhelmed by negative news. Netflix offers relaxation, but I sometimes spend too much time binge-watching, which takes away from more productive activities. Spotify positively affects my mood, helping me stay focused or unwind depending on the music I listen to.

Overall, this mix of media consumption is partially healthy. Spotify and Netflix allow me to de-stress, but excessive use of Instagram and Twitter can sometimes harm my mental well-being. To make my media habits healthier, I plan to limit my time on Instagram and Twitter, curate my feed to include more uplifting and educational content, and be mindful of how much time I spend on Netflix. I’ll also focus on balancing my media use with offline activities like exercising, reading, and spending time with loved ones to ensure I’m leading a well-rounded lifestyle.
