When I first started this course, I thought AI was just a smarter version of a search engine. Module 1 was my welcome to the future moment.

Experimenting with tools like Gemini, Bing AI, and Microsoft Copilot was eye-opening. Initially, I was only asking simple questions, but once we learned about prompt engineering, the game changed entirely. Suddenly, I wasn't just getting information; I was co-creating lesson ideas, brainstorming activities, and experiencing the benefits of having a true digital assistant.

The Design Thinking project was my biggest takeaway. It forced me to stop thinking about technology first and focus on my students' actual needs instead. It was a powerful reminder that these fancy tools are only useful if they solve a real problem for a real person.

This module shifted my perspective, changing my view of AI from that of a simple tool to that of a creative partner in my teaching journey.

The magic really started to happen in Module 2. It was all about finding AI tools to target specific language skills, and it felt like being a kid in a candy store. In terms of reading, discovering ReadTheory was a game changer.

I had only ever dreamed of being able to give every student a reading passage perfectly tailored to their level.

Then came the tools for creating content. I realized that with Twee, I could turn any YouTube video or news article into a vocabulary or grammar lesson in minutes. However, the tools that blew my mind were Luvvoice and ElevenLabs.

Generating realistic audio in different accents for listening practice is incredible! I'm no longer limited to the textbook's audio! This module provided me with a toolkit that I can immediately use to create dynamic, engaging, and personalized practice for my students in every core language skill.

If there's one task that consumes a teacher's life, it's lesson planning. Module 3 was like being handed a key to unlock more hours in my day.

Learning to use tools like Teachy and exploring the LMarena revolutionized my workflow. I went from staring at a blank document for an hour to generating creative, well-structured lesson plans in minutes.

What I appreciated most was that this wasn't about being lazy. It was about being efficient. We learned how to guide the AI using platforms like Google AI Studio to create plans that were innovative and aligned with official MINEDUCYT standards.

This module empowered me to spend less time on paperwork and more time thinking about how to deliver lessons and connect with my students. AI has become my tireless lesson planning assistant, and I never want to go back.

Assessment and feedback are two words that bring joy to few teachers. At least, that's how I felt before Module 4.

The final part of the course tackled the challenge of evaluation head on, and the tools I discovered have already had a huge impact. Using Magic School and BRISK to generate clear, comprehensive rubrics has saved me countless hours.

The real transformation came from combining these tools. I learned to use Google Classroom's Practice Sets and Interactive YouTube Video Activities to create more interactive, self-paced learning experiences. For larger assignments, I use Gemini to brainstorm rubric criteria, refine them with BRISK, and use the same tools to provide students with rich, personalized feedback.

Tools like Quizalize and Wayground (Quizizz) have made formative assessment enjoyable and low-stakes.

This module taught me that AI can make the assessment process more positive and productive for me and my students.
