What Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe have in common is that they both specifically Romeo and Pyramus committed suicide with a weapon because of the misconception of their females death. In the story of Romeo and Juliet Romeo indicates that" You horrible mouth of death! You’ve eaten up the dearest creature on Earth. Now I’m going to force open your rotten jaws and make you eat another body" (act 5 scene 3 line 3) . This quote correlates with the comparison because it shows the desperation of there forbidden love that they have to kill themselves. In Pyramus and Thisbe it says that"Now,” he said, “you shall drink my blood too.” He drew his sword and plunged it into his side. The blood spurted up over the berries and dyed them a dark red. " ( paragraph 5) This quote also correlates with the comparison because it shows the misconception of Thisbe's
death.

Pyramus and Thisbe and Romeo and Juliet share a lot of emotion in each of the story. "He had let his love, a tender maiden, come alone to a place full of danger, and not been there first to protect her. “It is I who killed you.”" When both of the male characters killed themselves, the female characters emotions changed to where they also killed themselves. "Love rules my heart, and all day long a strange feeling has been making me cheerful." (Act 5 scene 1 line 2-3)Emotions control these characters choices and actions in several ways which will cause them to be in danger or even dead. If these characters think before they acted no one would of died in Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe. They would of lived happily ever after.

Both Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe involves marriage. In Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers were destined to be married but was stopped because of their family feud. Romeo and Juliet's marriage strengthened their love. When the time came for Romeo and Juliet's marriage, they became closer. Then the plan of reconciliation for love came, the plan backfired and Romeo thought his beloved Juliet was dead. He knew that if his love couldn't be alive, he couldn't. Romeo wanted to join her in the new life, by taking his life. Juliet's sight of Romeo's dead body wanted her to kill herself for her love for Romeo. "Then I'll be brief. 0 happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die." Act 5 Scene 3, 170
In Pyramus and Thisbe, a girl and guy grew up side by side knowing to love each other. They wanted to marry, but their parents forbade due to two houses. A plan was devised to become free together. When the piece of cloth arrived to Pyramus, he killed himself thinking about the love he had for Thisbe. Thisbe finding Pyramus dead, led her to believe that she should join him for love.
"Only death would have had the power to separate us. It shall not have that power now.”
Marriage is archetypical by both occurring in both stories. Marriage was the reason that the four star crossed lovers took their lives.

In both "Pyramus and Thisbe" and Romeo and Juliet, two families do not like each other. In each of these stories, neither parents would allow their children to date each other In "Pyramus and Thisbe" it states that
" Thisbe on one side, Pyramus on the other. The hateful wall that separated them . . . "
In the play, Romeo and Juliet, Juliet says, " It's only your name that's my enemy. You'd still be yourself even if you stopped being a Montague."(Act II, Scene II, The families in both stories feuded. In Romeo and Juliet's case, this feud prohibited them from true love. In Pyramus and Thisbe, a wall separated them. Each family was on the opposite side of each other which made the main characters' love cease. This barrier however did not stop them.

Pyramus, Thisbe, Romeo, and Juliet are based on similar ideas, and impatience is one of those ideas. Throughout both stories, all characters represent a sense of impatience, which leads to their downfall. “It is I who killed you,” he said. He lifted up from the trampled dust what was left of the cloak and kissing it again and again carried it to the mulberry tree. “Now,” he said, “you shall drink my blood too.” He drew his sword and plunged it into his side" (paragraph 5). "Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O happy dagger,

This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die" (5/3/8/9). The quotes

correspond with the claim, as the characters show a sense of impatience, which is a reason for their downfall. The impatience occurs in both stories, causing them to be archetypical. In certain ways, these concepts are archetypical. They are used to convey the theme, plot, and the characters in both stories because some readers understand the archetype, and can follow it throughout different stories.
