EQUATIONS!
In Algebra there are SO many types of equations. Like. A lot.
But since i dont want to bore you, i will just stick to the one step two step equations. And we use equations to find slope, just so much, like whenever you think of algebra just know- THERE IS GOING TO BE EQUATIONS INVOLVED.
Ight' so, the equation is
-3x-6=12

Inequalities

One of my favorite subjects personally.
And inequality will look like

2-6y<-10
so for this we add two again on both sides to get -6y<-12 now we divide -6y by -12 and since we are dividing a negative sign the inequality sign gets flipped and also since we are dividing by to negative numbers the final number comes out positive. 
y>12.

Polynomials

Polynomials are easy.
So our polynomial is
(3x^2 -8x+2)-(3x^2 -2x+5)
Line them up like your dividing.
And that is how you solve it in the picture below.

Distributing

Distributing is when you have
5(x+2)
And you distribute the 5 into the x and 2 to get 5x+10, this is also used a lot in equations.
