         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fizz, (aka effervescence) is an indicator of a chemical reaction. This looks like bubbles (a gas) in the solution. It's a chemical reaction because the bubbles mean that a substance was created that was not there before. For example, the fizz in this gif is a chemical reaction taking place.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Aroma is also an indicator of a chemical reaction. This is&nbsp; when a substance has a smell that was not there before the reaction. t's a chemical reaction because the aroma means that a substance that smells was created that was not there before. For example, before the bread is heated, it DOES NOT smell like toast. When bread is heated up in a toaster, it smells like toast. This toast smell means that a new substance is present, and is therefore a chemical reaction.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Color changing can be an indicator of a chemical reaction. If the products form a color that the reactants wouldn't normally make, that means that a chemical reaction is happening. This is because the color change means that a substance was created that was not there before. In the photo, the two reactants normally would not make green together. Because the green is the product, that means that a new substance is there, which means that the reactants had a chemical reaction.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Shown below are hand warmers. When you "snap" them, the bond between two separate compartments is broken, and two chemicals combine. The product of the chemicals is heated up, and warms your hands in wintertime. Because the substance turns warm when the two chemicals are combined, that means that a new substance is created when they are put together, and that is why it is a chemical reaction.</div>]]></description>

When house pipes get clogged, the reason is often because calcium or magnesium precipitates build up in the pipe. When the magnesium oxides turn into a solid substance, it is an example of a chemical reaction because a substance was there that wasn't there before.</div>]]></description>
