         <description><![CDATA[<p>Gary R. DeFilippo is an experienced Staten Island legal practitioner, admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York since 2001. The same year, Gary R. DeFilippo was admitted to practice, and has tried cases before the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has also argued appeals before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2006, he was admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court. He remains knowledgeable about various criminal and civil matters, including contract law and criminal defense law. Mr. DeFilippo has also defended clients in foreclosure cases and has experience in wills and trusts.</p><p>Mr. DeFilippo, as an Assistant District attorney in 2001, drafted the argument in the precedent setting case, People v. Farquan Forbes. In private practice he has argued appeals that are frequently cited to by other attorneys and the Courts.</p><p>Since 2017, he has led Parole Preparation <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://Services.com">Services.com</a> and delivered parole preparation services to inmate clients, and their families, enabling them to achieve parole and release from incarceration. Gary R. DeFilippo emphasizes a thorough, multi-month approach to preparing necessary documents and representing clients at parole hearings. His firm has a strong track record of achieving expungements of criminal convictions on behalf of clients.</p><p>Mr. DeFilippo served as an editor for the Suffolk Academy of Law Journal, while attending law school at Touro University, where he authored the article "To Disclose or Not to Disclose: A Discussion of Civil Rights Law 50-a and Protecting Law Enforcement Officers Personnel Records From Unwarranted Review By Adverse Parties." However, Civil Rights Law 50-a has since been repealed.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
