Message: The author used zine to convey his message that the COVID-19 and help us to avoid from infecting coronavirus by telling how to wash our hand enjoyable. This zine also has a jokes in it so it can makes people smile as well.
Medium: Paper, pen and made a zine.

Message: Be creative with your hair! Since people are refraining from getting haircut in some countries, this comic is encouraging people to find some fun even in this difficult times. And growing hair to the point where you're able to style your hair to look amazing(insane) like in one of the suggestions, is definitely going to be fun and memorable. 

Medium: Paper, color pens and cut images from the internet and glued. 1 titled hairstyle per page and that’s it. 

Message: This cartoon is portraying the medical teams as superheroes who keep us safe and give hope to people. I think the author is persuading us to appreciate doctors, nurses more and also to find hope in them as well as their awesome contributions. 

Medium: I think some of the drawings have been done digitally or by painting perhaps. Also the author used some color pens and paper. There are barely any words but I think that’s what makes this work more powerful and dramatic.

What role does art have during a crisis?

Message - The artist is conveying that we should keep our nails clean by washing and thoroughly rinsing beneath our nails to prevent ourselves from contracting the virus

Medium - The image was drawn digitally, and it also uses variety of shading techniques. 

Message - The artist is conveying that there is still hope, that humanity will win this battle against diseases as it eventually did since history started. 

Medium - The image was drawn digitally, but it also used moderate photoshop to portray the flames. 

Message - The artist is that we have hope and we should fight together because of COVID-19.

Medium - The image was drawn digitally on computer, but it also used on photoshop.

We see art, and are drawn to it. Once we look at it we then see the meaning, we feel it. We feel the sorrow and pain for ourselves. Somehow seeing these figures of paint struggle pushes us more to change than a number on a screen. It places meaning in that number and allows us to truly understand and feel hurt for those people. Art puts things into perspective and signals out viewers, it places you in a mindset of naturally want to fix the problem.  It connects you to the hurt and the crisis personally and sparks a need to help.

Artwork display the pain, the hardship, chaos, terror, lessons, or even just the pure scenery that the artist wish to show to the future generation when he went through the crisis. 

Art really expresses an emotion or feeling towards this crisis, which I think makes people feel better, and positively. (Or negatively, but it depends on how you feel about the art piece.)

Art had a role that express people's emotion and feelings and understanding each other's emotion even they have different job, age, and sex.

- My main target audiences will be PYP students (4~6 )MYP students, parents, teachers and staffs as well.

- I think the purpose of my message will be persuasive and goodwill. I'd like to send goodwill to most of every community because current situation seems going worse. The reason why I didn't choose EC students and PYP students who are in grade 1 to 3 is I guess my work will include sentences and maybe lots of details. Therefore, I think EC students and PYP students who are in grade 1 to 3  might not understand my message well.

- I will adapt the story with current situations and facts to understand and empathize the storyline more. Also, the message has to be clear.

I will use action to action sequence. To transition from the worm's view points and his thoughts.

2. My first point is informing the audience about things so one character does their job in this part.

3. My second part is about doing something fun in quarantine to give ideas and entertain the audience. The second character introduces this part.

4. My third part is about staying safe and taking precautions and also spreading goodwill. SO the third character does that.

5. I want this to be entertaining so I should keep in mind about putting in some humour for each part.

6.  The 3 characters I thought about are Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants.

Middle - As the months go by situation went worse such as her dream. She realized her dream was a foresight dream. She shocked and she tried to inform this situation in her SNS, but anyone didn't believe her. Therefore, like her dream, people started to cough severely, ambulances were running hardly and people were going to die. It went really worse. One person retweeted her SNS and it spread to all over the world. She started to inform we have to wash our hands frequently, please don't go outside if you don't have important things, and it's really hard but only for few months, please keep social distance between people. She plead those by her SNS. 

End - People finally believed her dream and some people started to make a rule based on what she said. Those rules spread to all the places and people started to follow those rules. Few months later, the number of infected people started to go down, COVID-19 disappeared and people got back to their happy and usual lives.

News caster: The confirmed COVID-19 cases has topped 13,000 in Japan. 

News caster 2: The virus is closing schools, shops, cafeterias and restaurants! 

Random expert: This virus seem to last for at least several years. 

Main Character turns off the TV. There is a click sound. 

2) His fear and all the negative feelings are portrayed as a dark, horrifying creature trying to swallow him up. The main character is slowly losing every motivations he had and he's helpless and he's super bored. He decides to go out finally because his mom suggests him to. 

Mom: Why don't you take a walk.. It's been 2 months since you left house. 

Main Character(Walking up to the front door): Fine. 

3) He's out on the street wandering around. Then he sees a person sharing groceries with neighbors, spreading love. He catches a sight of it.  Then he continues to walk. Then he sees a queue in from of a supermarket and people are all socially distanced. This startles him a little. 

No dialogue. *Whoosh* - Wind sound effect 

4) He sees a couple of people smiling and giving out handmade masks to people for free. He receives a mask from them. He sees a small banner behind them at the same time that has "Love conquers all" He continues to walk. Everything is black and white to this point. 

A random person: Would you like a mask? 

Main Character(Receives the mask): .. Thanks. Looks at the quote on the banner. 

A random person: Take care~ 

5) Within a several steps, he slows down and thinks. He realizes that there is hope within people and communities that are providing help based on a  goodwill. He murmurs his realization. This is the turning point that completely reverses his thoughts and feelings. He continues to walk all the way back to his home. The sky and part of street has some colors now.
 

Main Character:People are surprisingly responsible and loving.. How..? 

Main Character(Still walking): I can see hope in them.. 

Main Character(stops): .. Why don't I be the hope?

Main Character(continues walking) 

6) A scene change to a few days later. The main character is creating posters that are meant to encourage people and he's putting them up on walls. He's lending elderly people some electronic devices to help them reconnect with their families. He's even buying some groceries for his neighbors which brings smile to both the main character and his neighbors. The novel ends with him walking on the street, grinning. The setting is filled with warm colors now. 

Main Character: Here you go. I hope now you're able to reconnect with your family. And here are some groceries as well. 

Old man: Thank you very much!

I will mostly use moment to moment panels and some scene to scene panels. I'll adjust the size or shape of the panels so that it corresponds with the audience's viewpoint and I will use some conventional narrative box and speech bubbles and thought bubbles for dialogues since I don't think there will be any big actions in this novel. 

-my story is about a young girl named lily(10 yrs old) and she isn't an obedient child to her mother, lily likes to be independent and gets nervous easily when something mysterious happens to her, her mom is a fashion designer, lily gets irritated when her mom is too over protective but something changed her.

Beginning- lily's mom drove lily at school and after that she headed to work, when lily went inside her classroom she heard a gossip that her country will be quarantined because of COVID-19 but lily doesn't know whats COVID-19 and she didn't care about it because she thinks it's just a normal disease, after school lily walks home alone her mom doesn't fetch her home because she is busy with her job.

Middle- lily's mom went home and she will now be working home because of COVID-19 and its QUARANTINE, lily's mom wants to talk to lily about COVID-19( how dangerous is it, how to be safe and more) but lily ignored her mom because she knows that her mom is starting to be overprotective, lily's mom told her not to go outside and she gave lily a mask she made for her but she disobeyed her mom and they start arguing and well lily got mad at her mom, to relieve her stress she went to a public playground secretly and ride a swing.

End- after that she went straight home but she doesn't feel alright(she had a runny nose), she was so worried because she doesn't know where it came from, but her mom scolded her because she isn't allowed to go outside she doesn't know how dangerous is it but her mom feels worried and researched in internet but suddenly her mom thinks that she was infected because of her symptoms but she wasn't sure so she made lily rest for 1 day, lily started to get worried and hope she listened to her mom, lily asked her mom to borrow her phone and she researched what corona virus really is and how to be safe from it, she now starts to be sensitive(starts using alcohol, wears a mask) watch news, she woke up and she feels fine already she immediately told her mom and she apologized, her mom responded that that she should take care of herself because this is very contagious and you can die from it.

Protagonist A receives a phone call from Italy that her grandmother, whom she was close to, had passed away while waiting for medical care near the hospital. The cause of her death is COVID-19.

Protagonist B loses her job at USJ due to the start of the quarantine in Japan. Because she now has no way to pay for her rent, she decides to move back to her family's house, also in Osaka Prefecture.

Protagonist A is in grief, she reminisces her memories about her  grandmother. She also thinks about other elderly people who were left to die in their homes or streets.

Protagonist B is found at her family's house, where she is mostly helping her mother with chores. Because her little sister is also in quarantine due to school closure, they experience subtle clashes.

Protagonist A receives a letter from her grandmother that she wrote before falling ill. The letter contains the depth of her grandmother's love for Protagonist A, in which she finds comfort and consolation.

Protagonist B gets into a big fight at the dinner table with first her sister, then her mother. During the climax, her father releases his temper, which worsens the situation. Protagonist B lashes out with her final word that left the whole family in silent shock. She soon retreats into her room.

Protagonist A receives news that her mother is pregnant. She is happy for her, and resolves to pass her grandmother's strong affections by deeply loving her new sibling. 

Protagonist B and her family is found sitting in the living room to resolve the conflict that previously took place. Each member shares their thoughts and feelings, then discuss them. After they resolved the conflict, everyone apologize to each other. The story ends with scenes of them doing puzzles, something they all loved and often did back in the old times.

Get outta here and if you're gonna go outside stay there and never come back home you filthy rat get outside and don't touch anything inside the house go away i don't want you here you have to wear a mask incase we get infected go buy a mask and on the way just find another home that you can stay so that you don't have to infect me byeby byebeyebyeeyb- (*more lectures too long it won't fit in the panels*)

Kiite- "Chill, it's gonna be fine. I don't need a 64 hour lecture like yesterday. I've already had enough, and I don't need you to tell me stuff. 

Panel 4 - 

Doggobuns: "But you slept during my lecture yesterday."

*Buns twists face then starts steaming outta her head*

Middle - Panel 5 - 

Kiite: "i'm back from the club!"

Doggobuns: "WHAT. YOU. WENT. TO. THE. CLUB- Oh noes, we're gonna get infected- "

Kiite: "I think i'm infected.. "

Doggobuns: "Nononononononononononononoo."

Kiite: "i was just joking.. hehe."

Doggobuns: "Lately, you've been coughing a lot.. " "Are you really okay?"

Kiite: ".. I had fever yesterday, it's getting worse.."

Kiite: "I've had all the pills, and i've even had the meds that healed the corona."

Doggobuns: "Maybe I could ask other doctors.. "

*1 month later*

Doggobuns: "No coronavirus V." 

② Second girl call the first girl to have a person to play with. The first girl also couldn't stay at home so both of the girls met outside.

③ When the two girls having fun, there was a big fight at the same time. The fairy of man who separates the distance from people, mask fairy, and alcohol fairly was fighting against coronavirus to protect the girls.

④ The three fairy won the coronavirus. At the same time, two girls were checking news about the coronavirus and they understand more how dangerous coronavirus is.

⑤ Two girls went home and planned how to spend an exiting day at home without going outside.
