         <description><![CDATA[<div>Okonkwo was born in a poor family, but had immense talent and hard work. He was able to climb up the ladders of his clan and gain the respects of many. He was a talented wrestler and a fierce warrior. However, this started to go down when the missionaries came and it was no longer about who was the strongest or most manly. However, Okonkwo refuse to change his personality and stayed true to his nature which sadly led to his downfall. Once a talented, respected warrior now just a man on a tree buried like a dog. </div>]]></description>

To him, this was the best approach, and he truly believed that he followed the right path. However,&nbsp;by the end of the book, his family was no longer the same again and he ended up killing himself. His way of life both resulted in his success in the beginning and his downfall in the end.</div>]]></description>

Every high he reaches is only proceeded with a newer and greater low. He shoots a child, he gets exiled, and eventually he, the protagonist, hangs himself. Our good guys don't win in the end, and that, for me, is what cements this book as a tragedy.</div>]]></description>
