People didn't know if it was an accident or not. At 9:03 the second plane hit the South Tower and it was at that time that people knew it wasn't an accident. The second plane exploded, now the buildings were burning. People were trying to escape from the building but they were stuck between destroyed staircases. People started to jump out of the building to save themselves. 200 people jumped out. At 9:40 am another plane crashed into the Pentagon. At 9:59 the South Tower collapsed, people started to run covered in dust and ashes. After 9/11 people's attitude changed about safety.Immigration and deportation raised from 200,000 a year to 400,00 annually. Airport lanes got slower, full body scans, but before you didn't have to take off your shoes or even show your ID.
