1. What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

As far as I’m concerned I have worked with blogs few times but as an English student because as teacher I have never tried this tool with my students, something that I’m going to take into account since now because I have had the opportunity to see that this tool is very useful and call the attention, also teacher and students can have a discussion about the topic, it is another way where students can practice their writing using another technique and it is in only one document so you can help the environment using less paper. In addition to this, the blogs are wonderful because you can add pictures or videos, elements which are suitable to enrich the learning and makes different the tasks.

2. Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

One of the alternatives in ELT Methodology is the WebQuests and there are two principal types which are short - term WebQuests which are “designed to be completed within less than two or three lessons with a limited amount of new information for students to comprehend and process.” And the long- term WebQuests which are “usually designed to span a week or a month’s period depending on the given tasks, which usually require the learners to analize new information and show their understanding by elaborating or synthesizing their ideas.” (Sen. A.& Neufeld. S. 2006. P. 2-3).

3. What are the students’ perceptions of integratingWiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses?

This answer can be given after reading the lecture which has the same title as the question, and students’ perceptions of integrating Wiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses at the end of surveys and interviews with this group in particular the results showed that the use of wiki writing projects have benefits and challenges for those students; some of the benefits they could find were the quick online answers from their instructor, they could learn from other’s mistakes, also they mentioned their increasing in learning vocabulary, phrases and other issues involved in the learning. The negative answers were because some student’s attitude towards the use of wikis and feedback and the time is necessary to use explaining them how to use the tool. As everything in the life, there are some people who think that the use of technology in the classes or in the learning process is good and there are others who are against its use and they do not find useful in their leaning.

4. How can we integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning?

It is possible firstly, increasing the communication, respect and awareness between teachers - students, also students- students, secondly giving the opportunity to everybody to be the leader in one moment of the term. Additionally to this, they could share topics which are in their same interest and then, they can choose a tool to work as for example blogs.

1. What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

I haven’t had the opportunity to use many blogs for EFL Learning, I have used some useful free web pages to learn English they have become very handy and easy to utilize, you can learn trough videos, audios, readings and plenty of exercises to practice, even though I do not like to write any comments or do any participation they have help me a lot. Some of them are:

Saber ingles, English British council learning English, VOA, and BBC.

2- Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

There are many alternatives, but one that the author talks about is the WebQuest. The WebQuest is an inquiry - oriented online tool for learning, this means it is a classroom-based lesson in which most or all of the information that students explore and evaluate comes from the World Wide Web.

3- What are the students’ perceptions of integrating Wiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses?

They passed an English proficiency test before enrolment. Most of them had achieved intermediate or higher levels in reading and writing on the local General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) in Taiwan.

Students perceived benefits and challenges. Benefits like immediate online responses from the instructor, lessons learned from the grammatical mistakes of others, and various learning opportunities, they learned vocabulary, spelling, and phrases as well as sentence structure by reading the work of others on the Wiki pages and learning from the writing produced by their peers, the wiki had many positive impacts on learning. The constraints and challenges from the Wiki writing projects that the students face were: Functional obstacles like unfamiliarity with the wiki, psychological obstacles for example some of them felt nervous and also if they correct some of their peers they felt that they would be rude, and for the lack of English some students tended to give general suggestions because they were afraid that the comments they provided would embarrass others.

4 -How can we integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning?

To integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning we can give the students a task to develop trough internet it can be by webquest, blogs, creating webpages or any interactive technology tool also teaching the students knowledges that they already know in their first language for example a topic of drugs are bad or it can be about news or things that they manage very well in their mother tongue language or if for example they are doctors make them do activities related with medicine or if they are lawyers give them activities about laws, or if they know science just try to do a work with related stuff etc.

What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

I believe that the use of these tools to learn English is quite convenient since today the students handle the technology very well, with these new technological possibilities, the
quantity of work that a student does out of school increases, as well as the role of images and video.I see a future in which the role of technology will have more impact out of the classroom than in it.

2. Which ones are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

The schools as the prototypes of the communities that we live in, must obviously provide an education that not only embraces the Internet but also equips our students with the ability to use it or whatever information technology advances it will lead to in the future wisely, productively and for the benefit of society.

3. What are the students’ perceptions of integrating Wiki technology and peer feedback into English writing courses?

A Meaningful social interaction appears to play a significant role with regard to students' perceived benefits collaborative writing process. Students nevertheless encounter both functional and psychological obstacles to using the new tools, indicating the need to alter the traditional learning practices to embrace new, technology-enhanced learning systems

4. How can we integrate critical Approach to Second Language Learning?

In the present the technology offers some of the most interesting and versatile possibilities for providing students with assisted reading experiences. When students read a text while simultaneously listening to a pre-recorded version of the same text they are, in effect, engaging in assisted reading. Studies on assisted reading using recorded readings have shown great promise for improving reading fluency and overall reading proficiency and learning of second language.

1. What are your perceptions on the Use of Blogs for EFL Learning?

Blogs offer many possibilities of use in educational processes. For example, to encourage students to: write, exchange ideas, work as a team, design, visualize instantly what they produce, etc. The creation of Blogs by students offers teachers the possibility of requiring them to carry out synthesis processes, since when writing on the Internet they must be punctual and precise, in the subjects they deal with.

Teachers can use Blogs to approach students in new ways, without limiting their interaction exclusively to the classroom. For example, publishing materials immediately and allowing access to information or resources needed to carry out projects and classroom activities, thus optimizing time.

2. Which are the alternatives in ELT methodology?

According to the reading, there is a useful alternative such as WEBQUEST, which is a didactic model consisting of guided research where most of the information comes from the Internet.

3. What are the students' perceptions of integrating technology and peer feedback into English writing courses?

The students today are getting a lot of technology and you have to take advantage of this tool, when implementing WIKI, it is giving a lot of ease is to interact with others, doing collaborative work, since Wiki are a very good option Pedagogical to carry out educational activities, it is possible to generate proposals that the students can integrate in the Wiki from the reconstruction of the same in a didactic sense. Web documents, such as the Wiki example, create trends and when they shape the uses of children and young people, it is important that educators recognize them and care about understanding them from their exploration.

4.
