• Ask a powerful question (e.g. “Have you ever wondered what could make our school even better?”)

• Use an interesting or surprising fact (e.g. “Did you know that schools with a student garden program improve wellbeing and teamwork?”)

• Try an emotional statement (e.g. “Every day, students walk past a blank space that could be a hub of fun and learning.”)

• Explain why this idea is good for students, teachers or the whole school.

• Use inclusive language like “we”, “our”, “everyone”, “students like me”.

• Examples:

  • “This would give all students a safe space to relax and connect.”

  • “It would improve learning and help students feel excited about coming to school.”

• Tip: Show how this idea helps the whole school community.

• Emotive language: "amazing", "essential", "exciting", "unfair"

• Alliteration: "fun, friendly facility"

• Repetition: "We need it. We deserve it. We’re ready for it."

• Rhetorical questions: "Don’t we all want a more exciting playground?"

• High Modality: "You must install colder water bubblers within the school immediately!"

• “Have you ever imagined a school where…?”

• “Our school is great, but it could be even better if…”

• “I believe that adding ___ would make a huge difference.”

• “This idea isn’t just exciting – it’s necessary because…”
