I remember that we stared to talk in English when we were in a mall and an American he came to ask for some restaurant but he dont know how to pronounce the name in Spanish so  he began to make strange gestures to us but we still misunderstand what  he was trying to say, it was vary funny but one of my friends stared  talking to him in english and they had a small talk. my friend explained everything to him and they talked about other things like he liked the culture of Barranquilla although he did not like the heat.
And that it how we met our firt American friend.

This person has spoken me in english, but I have made some questions previusly.
I have asked him for the culture about his country, and he tolds me that he has traveled from USA to Cartagena because he likes very much the Cartagena´s environment, also he has surprised for the extremly difference.
He has told me that here the people are very happy and outgoing, and told me that on the other hand, the people of USA are so introvert.
I have agreed with him opinions, of course then of the interview we have taken a normal small talk.
I have seen that his gestures are so rigid and formal, realy diferent obout our.
Finally he has spoken to me that he really likes to change his own customs, becase is very loved os Cartagena.

In Peru, for example, the culture is different, even the food is different. When I was in school, I had the opportunity to travel to the US and, I have spoke with the people of the different places that living in the us.

I spoke with people from different places who live in the U met people from Cuba, and Brazil, this people as takes different cultures and traditions that is not common in my country, for example, the people of Cuba are very interesting and they have spoken with little accent and a faster voice that the people of colombia not use.

In addition to having that smile talk, he taught me to connect with his language. He told me that there would be no misunderstandings and that it would be easy to learn about their customs.  Greeting to hear each of their traditions, I told him if he could smile to take a picture of us.

It seemed to me that I got lost, so I tried to get help from someone else in the train. Clearly, It has not been the first time I have talked with someone from another culture. Then I start to have a small talk with a stranger, which I felt very confident with due to the fact that I have spoken english for a few months already living there, even though sometimes before I had to comunicate with gestures. So, moving on with the conversation, we both came to realice that both of us were lost. Then we steped out of the train, asked for directions in the streets and finally we got where we were suposed to be. Another thing that caught my attention was the culture and gastronomy there, it is very varied. I have an aunt living there and I was surprised by a tradition she had, which was to make orange cake every time people from other countries came to visit her.

Another method he implements is to use gestures to be able to communicate with foreigners. Finally something curious that happened to me was that, a Chilean said a very peculiar word to me: "cachai",  and I asked him: "what that word means?"
He told me it meant: "You understand".

In Amazonas I’ve been in an island full of monkey, I remember that we were to an island, that calls the monkey island, it where a bunch of freaking monkeys that wants food, and that was kind of cool but still shocked that there is an island with a bunch of crazy monkeys. In that trip to the USA I had very few opportunities to spoke with strangers, in Ecuador, it was diferent, I talked with more people who understand my lenguage. I also had the opportunity to visit the chimborazo, a volcano located in Ecuador, the culture there is a little different from the rest of the country, but it was a good experience for which I am grateful and with which I was able to connect with nature.
