         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Hiroshima Bombing is about when a atomic bomb hit Hiroshima in 1945, August 6th on 8:15. It was from America at the end of World War II because America wanted Japan to surrender. It killed 80000 people when the bomb hit and 40000 afterwards because of the radiation and later after that,  Japan announced its surrender.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>World War II happened in 1902 when Germany’s leader Adolf Hitler went against the rules of the Versailles Treaty. Italy’s leader Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler sighted the Germany-Soviet Nonaggression Pact and Japan, which has gained power sided with him and started invading their neighboring countries. When Germany and Soviet invaded Poland in 1939 September 7th, England and France attacked the Germans but they were unable to defeat Germany and retreated. In 1940, Germany invaded Poland and successfully invaded the country. On June 14, Germany entered Paris when Hitler suddenly turned his attention to Britain and at September 1940 &nbsp; Germany started bombing London with air raids known as the Blitz until The Royal Air Force(England’s Air Force) defeated the Luftwaffe(German Air Force)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1931, Japanese army invades Chinese province of Manchuria, installs puppet regime. In 1932, Prime Minister Inukai Tsuyoshi killed during failed coup by nationalist army officers. Military holds increasing influence in the country.&nbsp;</div><div>It was 1936, Japan signs an alliance with Nazi Germany.&nbsp;</div><div>It is 1937, Japan goes to war with China, capturing Shanghai, Beijing and Nanjing amid atrocities. 1939, Outbreak of Second World War in Europe. With fall of France in 1940, Japan moves to occupy French Indo-China. In 1941 Japan launches a surprise attack on US Pacific fleet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. US and main allies declare war on Japan. The US begins a strategy of "'island-hopping", cutting the Japanese support lines as its forces advance.&nbsp;</div><div>By 1944, US forces are near enough to Japan to start bombing raids on Japanese cities.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hiroshima, a manufacturing center of some 350,000 people located about 500 miles from Tokyo was chosen for the bomb to hit. On the Pacific Island of Tinian the 9,000 pound bomb was loaded with a B-29 bomber, Enola Gay and dropped the bomb with a parachute at 8:15. Blasting 2,000 feet above Hiroshima, in a&nbsp;blast equal to 12-15,000 tons of TNT, destroying five square miles of the city.<br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the book that we read, there was a character named Machiko. She was the main character’s best friend. She also loved jazz music, so in the book she secretly keeps a jazz record. “I kept one of my jazz records anyway, but papa doesn’t know. I just couldn’t give it up. It’s my favorite.”&nbsp;<br><br>We couldn’t find a specific person that did this but apparently people who were again the war were either thrown into jail or badly beat up. This shows that people like Machiko could get into serious trouble if they get exposed.<br><br></div>]]></description>
