The name Apalachee means the people from the other side. Another one is Chorokee indians. They were in many places like Georgia. They have a special language. They are from the southeastern US.The other one is Lower Muskogee and it covers most of Georgia. After Georgia came in and the Muskogee tribe left,Georgia sold all the land for $1,230,000 to the US.

James Oglethrope was a former army officer. After he was done being an officer he wanted to help the poor and suggested moving to America. He took him and 114 other colonists to the land now called Georgia.
