Setting: Story begins with the characters attending Spy Camp. However, it changes to predominantly the Wilderness in the surrounding areas.

Characters: The main characters are two of the students at the Spy Camp and one of their parents. They are Ben, Erica and Erica's father, Alexander.

Conflict The conflict is between Good vs. Evil. The evil spy organization, SPIDER Wants to kidnap Ben who is part of the CIA organization at the Spy Camp. The story revolves around SPYDER’s dangerous activities to capture and kidnap Ben.

As far as I know, there is not a CIA spy school for kids, so it was difficult to connect to what the students were experiencing each day.

I like to have adventure in my life, but not the kind that the characters were dealing with as the story progressed. Their Adventure included extreme danger, and that is not something that I would want in my school experiences.

many times, I empathize with the characters because they were in situations that were scary and dangerous, and I feared for their safety.

Spy Camp took me into an imaginary world of children learning to become spies at spy school and Camp. I have never heard of this before whether it be real or imaginary.

It was new and interesting to me to see how much power the author gave to the kids in the book. This is very different from normal life. Usually in everyday life, kids did not have so much power, and their voices are not heard as much as adults.

This book made me think that children should always be respected for what they know and I don't need to listen more to what kids have to say.
