Saddleslut is a fairytale made in Greece. Saddleslut is about a girl who lives with her sisters and mother. In the beginning they end up playing a game in which the mother loses so everyone besides Saddleslut agrees to eat her. While the sisters are at church one day, Saddleslut goes to bury her mothers bones and smokes them. After she smokes them, Saddleslut asks for a dress and gets a dress and slippers to go to church. Everytime she goes to church she is viewed as the most beautiful there. One day she loses her shoe trying to run from the Prince and the Prince finds it. When he goes to Saddlesluts house, the Prince attempts to offer Saddleslut to try it on, but she thinks he's mocking her. Evuntually when she tries on the shoe it fits and they get married. The sister after they are married floats Saddleslut down a river far away from everyone. When the Prince goes hunting he finds her and after she explains what happened they go and kill the sisters.

Two similarities between the fairytales

In both fairytales, the step sisters of Cinderella and the Sisters of Saddleslut both make fun of and cause problems. They are both antagonists of the stories. Another similarity is The prince ending up getting married to the main character of both stories. Cinderella and Saddleslut end up getting married with the Prince at the end of the story.

Two differences between the fairytales

One of the differences in both fairy tales is the location the Prince meets the main character. In Grimms version, they meet at a festival, but in Greeces version, they meet at a church. Another difference is the mothers role in the stories. In Grimms version, the mother is viewed as the main antagonist of the entire story, while in Greeces version the mother dies in the first couple moments.

The moral of the story

The moral in the Greek Version of Cinderella is to believe and have faith in yourself to succeed. Saddleslut goes through many hardships in the story and still prevails over her sisters. The story shows Saddleslut being below her sisters and treated horribly by them. The sisters make fun of her, thinks shes below them and captures her and puts her in a chest floating down a river. In the end Saddleslut makes it out alive and married to the Prince while the sisters end up dead.
