1. Skills required : a person will choose a job based on whether they are qualified for the job and the skills required for the job. For example, a person with a degree in art direction will not pursue a job as a doctor. 

2. Fringe benefits : a person might choose a job based on whether the firm provides benefits for their employees. Some firms provide free housing and free company cars to their employees, these are examples of fringe benefits.
