The story begins in Cater Street, a special street for caterpillars. A long time ago, there lived a caterpillar family in Cater Street. The family lived in a big hole. Mother caterpillar lived with her 7 children in a hole with father caterpillar. The eldest caterpillar, Casper was the smartest of all. The youngest of all, Cathy was the most foolish lad. One day, mother took Casper and Cathy out for tree climbing in a park. Both of them had fun climbing trees, crawling and eating leaves. But, as soon as the time came for them to climb a banyan tree, Cathy started being foolish again. Casper crawled faster above. But what did Cathy do? She simply climbed on a low root and started to shout, "I win! I win!". By seeing this take place almost everyday, mother got angry and said, "Cathy, you are so foolish! Listen to me, like this, you cannot climb trees day after day. Your foolishness has crossed its limit! Go away, and from tomorrow don't come for practice." Cathy became sad. She stopped going with Casper. One morning, their mother fell sick. She assigned Casper to go for climbing. Cathy followed him secretly. As mother was not there, Casper practiced and practiced but the sun rays made him fatigued. His head begun to spin and he fainted instantly and fell down the tree. Cathy was alarmed at this. She ran down the valley, fetched some water, sprayed it on his face, carried him back home and laid him down on his bed. Soon, Casper gained his consciousness. Both mother and Casper hugged Cathy and said, "Oh Cathy, you may be foolish but today, you saved the day!
Moral- Never tease a person who is foolish. He has other great qualities in life which are yet to be discovered.

But he loved his daughter more than anything. One day, he chanced upon a fairy. The fairy’s hair was caught in a few tree branches. He helped her out, but as his greediness took over, he realised that he had an opportunity to become richer by asking for a wish in return (by helping her out). The fairy granted him a wish. Once he got home, his daughter rushed to greet him. As soon as he bent down to scoop her up in his arms, she turned into a gold statue. I ran after the ball to catch it. At that moment I noticed a weird creature. His eyes were big as brinjal, covering half of his face. His noes, mouth and ears were strangely tiny. He didn't have any hair. He was slim too. Beside him I saw a broken space craft. I understood he is a alien. Initially I was unable to understand his language. Later he explained his feelings with some gestures so that I could communicate with him. I decided to help him out along with my father. Since my father is a scientist he had necessary equipments to repair the broken space craft. We had an old computer and I gave some of the electrical parts to him. After that my father carried some zinc thread, copper plate, iron rods, lithium batteries inside his kidback. With relentless efforts we were successful repairing the broken space craft. Before returning back to his planet he gave me a biometric device which could translate our respective languages instantly hence we can communicate. For our sweet bonding I named him as Lebason. That day was remarkable day in my life.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Zoey, she had a little brother named Alex. They had a rented house in Bangalore. The house was completely isolated in the middle of the woods. Zoey told her parents that she didn't like staying in that house. She used to get scared by a scary brown creature ,but her parents thought it was some kind of bear. Zoey's parents thought about the safety of the children and left that house. They still used to live in Bangalore, but they rented another house located near an abandoned state park. They said not to go near the wood land area as there have been many sightings of a big brown creature. But thinking it was just superstition, Zoey and her little brother Alex went there to investigate. As it was getting late in the evening, Zoey's parents called them but Zoey was so focused that she had no idea that her parents were calling her. Alex screamed, as Zoey turned around to respond, she saw a big brown scary creature chasing after Alex. They both ran screaming at the top of their voices. The whole neighborhood woke up to the chilling sound of their voices. The neighbors assumed the worst. But the neighbors came to Zoey's house, they saw her and Alex petrified. Zoey told them the entire incident at the state park. Till this day Alex and Zoey could never forget that day.

Moral: Never disobey your parents.
Siddhanth Mukherjee, class 5G

Kevin was a nineteen year old boy who lived in New York with his parents. He was a kind boy and loved animals very much. But his parents would not let him keep a pet, that always made him sad. One day Kevin decided that he would travel all alone in Africa. It didn't take him much time to get the permission. So, he made all the arrangements and was ready to catch his flight. On a fine Monday his flight flew up through the runway. What a beautiful scene it was! The plane flew through the milky white clouds and he could see the oceans! Finally he landed to Africa. He booked a cab to go to his hotel. His hotel was a fancy one. There was a big bedroom and a living room. The bathroom was large and decorated as well. Now comes the most exiting part of his journey! He went to forest safaris. He saw lions, tigers, bears, boars, deer, rabbits and many more animals. It was his dream to come to Africa and see different kinds of animals. But he was not relieved about one thing. The people staying beside Kevin's room always discussed something about animals. One day he heard them say "We have to sell most of the animals here. We will get money and we will be rich. Are the arrangements done? We will cage the animals and drive to Asia. Nobody will find us." Kevin thought that he will follow them and catch them red-handed."I must do something to stop them". The next day he followed them, they went to the place where many animals were kept. They went to a garage with big trucks. Kevin at once knew the animals were to be kept in those trucks. At night Kevin went to the garage and inserted a pin on each of the wheels. It was then when he heard footsteps. He was scared and quickly hid behind some drums. The people came and drove away towards the forest. Kevin followed them to the forest and saw they were injecting sleeping potion into the animals and putting them inside cages. Kevin, of course didn't have to worry because he already informed the police about the circumstances and they were ready to catch the people red-handed. He had a plan and it was that the police will wait outside the forest and once the people come out of the forest they will catch them. One of the people, however noticed someone behind a bush which was one of the policemen. The man warned the others. At once they started driving very fast. It was nearly impossible to get near them but suddenly all the trucks slowed down. The police got near them and noticed that the wheels got punctured. It was because of the pins that Kevin had inserted in the wheels. The people were caught. When everyone knew about Kevin and how he caught the criminals, everyone praised him. Even in newspapers the news was published. He had become a celebrity! He was also rewarded with one thousand dollars because he had done a great job. After all the events he decided to go back to New York as he was missing his parents. Back at New York, there the news had spread too. He was a celebrity of NewYork as well. His parents were very happy as well as proud of him and bought him a pet as his gift.

Once upon a time, there were two brothers, Bhanu and Veer. They lost their parents at a very young age. So, as an elder brother, Bhanu took great care and brought up his younger brother, Veer. When Bhanu got older, he married to a woman named Bharati. She also used to take good care of Veer and loved as her brother. When Veer was 20 years old, he heard the king of the kingdom looking for a young man to be soldier of king's royal soldiers and fight wars. Veer decided to be a soldier. His brother and sister-in-law tried to explain that big accidents can happen which can cause his death. They cried and told him to stay at home. But Veer didn't listened them. Then he joined the Royal soldiers and went far away for a war. Many months passed, but there were no news of him. Bhanu and Bharati were worried about him. One day the soldiers returned to their land. Bhanu went to find his brother, but in that group Veer was not their. Bhanu asked about him to the soldiers. Many told different things about him. Some told he died in the war, some told he returned home, some told he got terribly wounded and injured, but recovered and returned home. Hearing this he got really sad. After returning home, Bhanu told everything to Bharati. They decided to go and find him. They packed their belongings and locked the house and went on for their journey. They walked miles after miles. They walked through the mountains, plains, forests for many days without having a drop of water. After walking for a long time they reached a forest. As Bharati was weak, she got exhausted and died. Bhanu, unable to console himself died. After that, a tall tree and a creeper grew over and hugged the tree as if Bhanu and Bharati were still together. On the other hand, Veer, who was not actually died but got terribly wounded and had just recovered returned home. He thought how anxious and worried will be his family waiting for him. When he reached there, he saw the house was locked. He asked the neighbours about them. They told they two went away to find their brother. He also went to search them. As Veer was a lately recovered from an big injury he felt exhausted and fell down in the same forest. Then he again got up and went to a village and asked about his brother and sister-in-law. They told about the man and woman who died and grew into wonderful plants which provided fresh leaves and refreshing nuts. Veer knew it was his brother and sister-in-law who died. Unable to console himself, he turned into a limestone. After that, Did you know what happened? The tall tree grew nuts called areca nuts, the creeper grew leaves called betel leaves and the limestone's lime paste is added in the preparation of Paan. This is how the loving family got together even after death. This story teaches about unity and love.
           By-
Samadrita Paikara
