Hi, I'm Felix. I am a soldier fighting in the Battle of Actium. But today, something terrible happened. I was struck in the ankle with an arrow coated with snake venom. I prayed to Mars and the medical corpsman came and took me to the field hospital. To stop the deadly poison from spreading, they hacked off my leg from the knee down. I was bleeding out and in a lot of pain. Then they used fire to burn my wound so that it would no longer bleed. They called it cautery. After that long day, I took a bath and made sure to not get my stump wet.
By: Graysen Betbeder and Kenadi Johnson
