Vocation as I feel about it now

I feel as if I might be called to the priesthood or life as a religious brother. I have learned this through mainly father Nathan because it struck me how incredibly happy he and most all other priests and or brothers are, and they help people reach heaven all the time. I also feel he may be calling me to live the single life, in class we learned that people who live a single life are God's special warriors. because single people are more free to travel to do missionary works, and to do community service. Saint Vincent De Paul wasn't married and he did great works of the two things sited above.

TOB says that temporary pleasures such as mundane things only make you happy for a little bit (like the story about the He-man sword)and the choices we make should get us to lasting happiness instead of temporary pleasures.

Domestic church.

I'm not sure if I'm called to the married life or not but if I did I would be sure to make my house a domestic church(as described in section 4 of the vocations curriculum). and try to make my household like a small church.

Boundaries

Some of the things I am doing to keep God in my life and fulfill my true vocation are: I am trying very hard to stay in God's boundaries, and to keep him as the #1 thing in my life, sometimes its hard and I stumble with that goal but I'm still trying.

High road.

Another thing I'm doing to get to my vocation is trying to be patent and take the high road as my mom would say, such as when I'm arguing with my siblings I'll try to be patent and just take the high road.

I mentioned a little before but Father Nathan inspired me to open my mind more because of how extremely happy he is with his vocation as a priest.

Common priest

As chapter 6 says, a common priest is anyone who is baptized and spreads the good news of God, even if I'm not called to the priest vocation I hope to be a common priest and show everyone that through my words and deeds.

Apostolistic Brother

If I were to be a religious brother I would want to be an Apostolistic brother because they help the community through good works and community service.

TOB also says that finding your vocation isn't an instantanious process and happens only through tons of prayer, living the gospel and simply listening to God. This is how I plan to find my vocation.

I am excited about finding true and lasting happiness in my vocation. I need to follow Gods plan for my life because that will bring me to true happiness and help me to bring others to true happiness in God.
