You often find temperate rain forests in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. The temperature is moderate year round and cooler than tropical rainforests. They experience a lot of rainfall. This humidity is due to a lot of precipitation. On average, the rainfall for a year in the temperate rain forest is 60-200 inches. A fog is produced in this biome, which sometime results in some of that rainfall. The temperatures are moderate year-round in this climate. 
The climatograph provided shows that in summer, the temperature gets higher and there is less precipitation. In winter seasons, the temperature gets lower and precipitation increases.

You can find beetles burrowing in moss here as well as wood peckers eating insects. In this forest, they don't get much sunlight, so therefore, they have adapted. Huckleberry trees grow in filtered sunlight. Since there is little sunlight, they have learned to use what they have and have adapted to this biome.
