<title>I am comfortable with breaking words into individual phonemes in my small group. We use the pound and tap method to determine number of syllables and phonemes in a word. I follow the strategies that the teachers utilize so that we are aligned. This also reinforces the strategies that the students use, making it familiar and automatic over time.</title>

<title>Some ESOL students may lack certain phonemes/the phonemes in English do not exist in their home language. How is this best addressed? I have spoken to a SLP at our school for one particular student. She did send me videos to help the student enunciate particular phonemes. I shared these with her parents. How else can I best support this student? </title>
