Our response to student discipline is very much student centered and focused on respect to self and others. This year we will work on providing more small group instruction during ELD time to provide targeted discussion interactions between Teachers and students. I think it would be fun to ask teachers (and administrator) to pick 2-3 strategies they want to focus on in a given semester. At the end of the term, we could have a "growth celebration." We could meet and teachers could share self-selected evidence of growth from their professional portfolio.
