I heard about the district’s opening for a Special Education teacher in one of your elementary schools. I would like to apply for this position. I attended Alma College and majored in elementary education and special education. I am certified to teach K-6th grade, all subjects as well as  K-12th grade reading and math for special education students.
I have met many other teachers from your district and I feel that I would fit in well. My time at Alma College prepared me to be versatile and I can work with a wide range of students. I hope to allow my students to gain the skills necessary to be successful in the classroom as well as with daily activities.

This way I, as the hiring manager, can intergrate classes in hopes of saving the school money. Also having met and acquired relationships with district faculty gives the applicant working relationships with the students primary educators creating a more cohesive environment for the special education students.
