My padlet is an example of using this to communicate with the parents of the students and share what their students are doing.

Another way you could use padlet in the classroom is by making it accessible to parents. I would post updates on padlet letting the parents know what the students are doing in class, and if they have questions they could reply to the padlet. 
The last way I would use padlet in my classroom is by making it kind of like a discussion board homework assignment. By having them read something at home and then writing a summary about what they read on padlet.
