Caring teacher. e.g Teacher shows concern about pupils personal problems. I was locked up in school but my teacher send me home.

Teacher shows that students matter to them.

E.g teacher would guide me in my studies.

I like teacher because she is enthusiatic and shows excitement in the classroom.

My teacher was strict but very funny.

My teacher never gives up on us eventhough we are very naughty.

Our teachers took the time to get to know us as individuals. Through this they supported us in terms of studies and emotional well being. For example, (Janna) My teacher knew that Literature was a really heavy topic for teenagers, so she made it really cool by making it modern for us and introduced Leonardo Di Caprio. She made learning fun and meaningful rather than just for exams. (Azlynna) She knew that my mother was working a lot so she took care about my emotional needs.

Students must benefit - meet students needs as opposed to chasing the awards.

Willing to sacrifice and be extremly dedicated

Ensure that pupils contribute to community

Picture what we want the students to achieve through our teaching and how are we going to let them achieve those goals

No; we want a work-life balance. We respect the commitment but we are not sure we can dedicate all our time/life to the school and our students.

We will still work to embody some of the qualities they exemplify, but we want to also work within our limitations as imperfect human beings.

For example, we might not choose work over family, when the situation arises.
