For students who do not speak English, the purpose of ESL is to help them learn English, and the goal is to become successful in school and life in an English-speaking environment.

Students practice reading, speaking, and listening lessons in ESL classes in the form of small groups. In some classes, students get out of their regular classes in special English programs, or during regular classes, the teacher helps students.

The length of ESL classes varies according to the needs of the students. Some students may need a few hours a week, while others may need English teaching help every day. This program can take several years, depending on how quickly the students learn.

A bachelor’s degree is typically required for ESL teachers with a special certification in teaching English as a second language. Teachers need training on how to teach pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Also, consider how to teach the diversity of different backgrounds.

A meeting between the teacher and the parents, where both sides can talk about the student, for example, about the places where the student has been strengthened or where he needs help and cooperation. The teacher and the parents discuss and consult with each other to improve the student's future academic progress.

Sending emails /Phone

The teacher can communicate with parents using email and direct phone calls. In my personal opinion, the fastest way for the teacher to convey urgent information to the parents is to send an email or call. There are other ways too that help parent engagement, like the school’s social media pages and sending a note in students’ folders.
