  • Literacy -(can also be done by children who attend Ms. Flannery) 

Monday- Read for 10 mins (book or online) Adult asks you to tell what happened in your own words.

Tuesday- Draw a picture. Write 3 sentences about it.(anywhere) Adult chooses one word to focus on for practising. Write it on the back of your page 3 times.

Wednesday- Child chats you about any topic. Example- My favourite trip/My best friend.
Then adult asks them to say 5 sentences about the topic and adult writes the sentences in print, small (lower case) letters. The child then reads the story written.

Thursday- Read yesterday's story. Adult asks 3 questions based on it - Who? Why?Where? etc

Friday- Choose a sentence starter and write a 3-5 sentence story.
I couldn't believe my eyes when......or........Suddenly.......or......There was a loud bang......
