         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mutual respect between teacher and student is the foundation for an effective classroom.  One of the interesting aspects of a positive teacher-student relationship is built on behavior and words rather than thoughts and feelings (Marzano &amp; Pickering, 2010).  Which means it is not how the teachers feels or thinks about the the student but how she treats and speaks to the student that builds a positive relationship.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Student interest inventories can be a survey that is given at the beginning of each year, term, or unit. Students can fill out a survey online using SurveyMonkey to answer personal and academic interests. Teacher can use sentence stems to help guide student answers.  For younger grades surveys could be given out at open house for parents to fill out about their child.   </div>]]></description>

         <title>Self portrait with interests</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students could use a picture app on iPad to take a self portrait and then use photo editing app to add stickers (emoticons) to their pictures of their interests and hobbies.  Afterwards students could share their images with the class.  Students could make posters to share with class and digital images could be gathered into a slide show presentation like below.</div>]]></description>

Multiple uses of technology for reflective journals include: word processing software like Google Drive, audio recordings using Audacity, or video recording using iMovie.
