As such impacts will destroy the ecosystems present in the world and this would cause massive changes in weather patterns and sea tides, to name of a few. For example in India , the ganges river , has been much polluted over many decades by factors such as waste materials released by factories upstream. Over the last few decades the water in the ganges has turned to a black colouration resulting from these polluting factors. Furthermore , many communities alongside the river depend on its water for survival.
This shows that such R&D facilities have contributed to environmental degradation over the years and has caused a decrease in the standard of living around the area as it has rendered these communities a loss of an important source of water.
However, not all of these facilitiesare contributing the environmental waste as there are many types of high tech facilities that are commited to improving and reducing the impacts of such environmental pollution by introducing safe for consumption chemicals for example, to reduce the harmful bacteria in the river and thus would allow the communities along the river to have a safer outlet to drink from.
