How do tectonic plates move? Use the words: plates, lithosphere, asthenosphere, and convection currents in your response.

The tectonic plates move because they would affect the asthenosphere. When the current is going in a circular motion. The core heats up the magma and let it become less dense but when the magma reaches to the top it gets cooled and becomes more dense which sinks. This affects the plate because the lithosphere is affected by the currents in the asthenosphere. When the convection current goes in a circular motion is separates the plates.

Plates at our planet's surface move because of the intense heat the Earth's core that causes molten rock in the mantle to move. It moves in a pattern called convection current that forms when warm material rises. They move because the plates or lithosphere are riding on the asthenosphere.

Tectonic plates move by the convection currents that is happening in the asthenosphere. The magma moves the plate by going in convection currents over and over again making continents and the plate move. The lithosphere moves because it is the plates.

The reason for tectonic plates to move is because of what is happening on the Asthenosphere. In which the convention current is happening in a circular motion thanks to the up and down cycle to the magma which in brief, when the magma is getting heated, the magma becomes less dense and rise. But when the magma gets up the magma loses heat because of the magma being so far away from the core which is heating the magma so it hardens/becomes more dense and then fall. So of that circular motion happening which is not one motion its a ton of circular motion happening in which causes different plates in the lithosphere to move. But since all the plates move and their very close to each other , by now 2 plates will crash into each other which will cause ground like natural disaster like Earthquakes.

Tectonic plates move in many ways, the tectonic plates make up the lithosphere. Plates are pieces of land mass. The plates move in many directions sometimes they crash into each other or separate some other times the plates sink into the asthenosphere which result to volcanoes to erupt. Tectonic plates move because of convection currents. Convection currents is the circular motion in which the magma in the mantle moves. Tectonic plates move because of the magma under them, when the hot magma rises up to the lithosphere the cooled magma sinks the plates move. Which is why tectonic plates move.
