-Walking in the sand and walking on the dune. Sports Injuries. The most dangerous is an injury in the water. It’s hard to fix those problems. Older people have a hard time going up the dune, especially on hot days. Heat is a big issue on the beach in the summer.

Lily-“If a person is far away in the water do you use a helicopter or a boat?”

• They would use an ATV to pull people out and they would have to go in the State Park. They call in a boat if they can’t reach them. They can also use a jet ski.

• It’s all about time, so wearing a life jacket it gives them time. If not it does not give them time.

• They need to get in the water in less than a minute.

Oakley “How do you know when someone needs help?” Communication. If the person can tell us that they need help. Call 911. When people are in trouble in the water they don’t make a lot of noise. Make sure you have a parent watching you or have a swim buddy to make sure you’re ok or if you’re in danger they can alert someone.

Bobby Jack: “ How can toddlers get out of a riptide?”

Everyone should wear a life jacket. Even firefighters wear life jackets.

ENFORCEMENT: People put at the parks that don’t know how to respect the lake. You can’t put a gate around the whole Lake.
