This is how Grendel would look to me when he isn't scaring people. He is big and bulky because he has to be able to gather up 30 men at a time. When I think of Grendel, he looks kind of like a mix between an ogre and the creature from the Hobbit, Gollum. He would have Gollum's speak pattern and skin color, while also having the size and weight of an ogre. Gollum also has a creepy laugh, so when Grendel is laughing at the Thanes for cutting out the lights, that is how he would sound.

THESE DUMB DANES

The Daneland Thanes have had a couple of rough seasons in the past few years. Their toughest opponent is from the team, the Wasteland Monsters. Standing at 20 ft, 7in tall, Grendel "the beast" Warren is a mighty foe. Even at their best, the Thames are no match.

Grendel's background also makes him hard to defeat. Being as his parents were banished, Grendel is unable to to know God's love. This makes him especially moody when he sees others doing well. It makes him want to take their happiness.

It is epically hard for them to go up against Grendel when they've spent the night previous drinking. With their "meady boasts" ), they're obviously all talk since "their heavy swords were all aswirl".

The next match up should be a good fight if the Thames can get their act together, and maybe call in their replacement, Beowolf "the great" from Geatland.
