Something that doesn't only take your breath away, but render you speechless whenever you try to describe it. That's what Fall Out Boys' album M A N I A does for me. I think the lead guitarist Patrick says it best. "I can't describe the album, it just sounded like it was purple". I never knew you could describe a sound as purple until I heard him say that. It's something that is so simple, but at the same time captures everything the album is trying to cover. Shows the vibrant , but dark lyrics, beats, and killer vocals that the album has to offer. It shows the side that they have wanted to show, but was too scared to show in case their fans did not want to see it. It shows the deeper side of the band while still keeping some of the sounds they are known for. The album was released as many singles until it was eventually released and with every song, I felt as if it was a new peak and nothing could live up to the new song, that was until a newer song was released.
