I had often given Inchun piggyback rides and my feet had sunk deep into the wet earth. As a result, my ankles and legs were caked with many different shades of mud.” Even though she was in pain and wanted to stop she kept going for her brother. My dad always made sure to tell me the story of when I came to America. He said that he had no more than 300 dollars to his name. WIth that he had to by 2 strollers, a table, a crib, etc. But you cant buy all of that with so little money. He said that he got a car seat for me and my brother, a stroller, a crib, and my baby food, and then he bought things that he needed and what my mom needed because to him his kids always came first. SO my parents sat on the floor and ate on a cardboard box with no chairs. Kids bring their friends food, clothes,ect. An example is the react club. They have started something that kids can drop off any type of shoes so that they can donate it to people that need it. Most could not afford to buy things that they wanted.
