Refusal of the Call

Remy’s colony doesn’t approve of his dream to become a chef. Remy internally refuses to follow his dream because of the peer pressure of his colony's opinions.

Meeting the Mentor

Remy’s mentor is the ghost of Chef Gusteau. Gusteau plays a large role in Remy's journey by inspiring him to pursue his dream and telling him that anyone can cook.

Crossing the Threshold

Remy is separated from his family, enters the human world, and ends up at Gusteau’s restaurant. He is then adopted by Alfredo Linguini who takes him into the kitchen where he helps Linguini be a better chef by controlling his movements by pulling his hair.

Tests, Allies, Enemies

Alfredo Linguini is Remy’s ally because they work together and Chef Colette teaches some cooking skills to both of them. Remy’s enemy is Chef Skinner who tries to expose Linguini’s secret but also tries to hide the fact that Linguini might be Chef Gusteau’s son and will inherit the restaurant.

Supreme Ordeal

Remy and Linguini get in a fight so Linguini gets mad and kicks him out, Remy betrays him and invites his whole clan to steal food from the restaurant, he finds out out and remy gets captured by Skinner

Reward (seizing the sword)

Remy then returns to the restaurant and with Linguini, they continue hiding him and no one suspects a thing.

Road Back

The return to his ordinary world is when Remy gets back he also calls the health inspector on the restaurant which shuts down the restaurant.

Resurrection

Remy prepares a dish called ratatouille that impresses the food critic Anton Ego by reminding him of his childhood. This shows that Remy’s skill and love for cooking can beat the challenges he faces as a rat in a human's world.

Return with Elixir

Remy and Linguini opened up their small restaurant called La Ratatouille, where they can cook freely and follow their dreams which shows that anyone can cook.

Approach to Innermost Cave
