[Unique Challenges]: Jaziel moved to the United States a year ago and was put into a Dual Language class. At the beginning of the year he was unable to communicate using English, by the end of 3rd grade he was able to communicate using English in the correct tense. 

[Unique Aspirations]: Jaziel would love to be a professional soccer player. He is also very passionate about math. He likes that with Math there is one answer. 

[Unique Interests, Talents, & Passions]: He is very passionate about soccer. He is very talented with math and multiplication. He was the first student to master multiplication tables in his class. He was given 4 digit by 3 digit multiplication to challenge his math skills. 

[Personal Learning Backpack- tools that best support]: Text to Speech support for testing reading passages. Manipulatives for more difficult math problems. 

[Unique Challenges]: She has a difficult time sitting and reading for long periods of time. This has given her trouble when  it comes to her reading comprehension. Because she cannot focus on the passage for  a long period of time she cannot recall key information or give a full summary of the story. 

[Unique Aspirations]: Annabeth wants to be an inventor. She likes to break things apart and put them back together the way they are or in a new and interesting way. 

[Unique Interests, Talents, & Passions]: Annabeth likes playing the drums. She has been discussing how she will be joining band in middle school and continuing this throughout high school as well. 

[Personal Learning Backpack- tools that best support]: Giving Annabeth extra time and reminders to stay on task helps her concentration. Teaching Annabeth strategies to summarize paragraphs as she reads can help her retain and recall information that she has read in passages.

[Unique Challenges] Although TJ makes strides with Math and Reading he has a hard time explaining the steps to the process of solving those problems. He can calculate the problem but having to explain where he got the answer is difficult for him. 

[Unique Aspirations]: TJ has a unique view on space ever since the lesson on the planets. He has stated that he would like to work for NASA not as an astronaut but has an individual within the control room making calculations of distances to different planets. 

[Unique Interests, Talents, & Passions]: TJ is a very passionate reader. He would rather be reading a book at his level rather than learning about dramas and spelling words that the class is learning for the day. 

[Personal Learning Backpack- tools that best support]: Allowing TJ to be the creator of this learning will help him be successful. Project Based Learning where he is given a choice of something he can represent using his own imagination will help him show and explain his learning.
