We selected the task of designing and making a greenhouse. We picked this project because we felt it would be enjoyable to make, and we had experience of gardening from our childhood. We also felt it would make a fun lesson for 5th or 6th class.

To investigate the factors that affect plant growth.
2. become aware of the sun as a source of energy for plants through photosynthesis.
3. observe, identify and examine the plants that live in local habitats and environments.

We made a small greenhouse for one plant. It was a fun and interesting process. We enjoyed this task ourselves and we knew then that a 5th or 6th class student would enjoy this project. We enjoyed researching the topic and exploring different ways to make a greenhouse. We researched the traditional style of greenhouses with glass and modern self watering greenhouses. The process of making the greenhouse was fun and challenging. The result was very rewarding.
