My classroom is the constructivist model. I use this type of instruction every day. We work with the children using everyday situations and adapt as needed.

My theory was task analysis. Task analysis is a step in the design process and is a resource for the instructor to create a road map for instruction. It differs from the constructivist model because this model assesses applied learning. The constructivist model would be the evaluation of skill once the student completes a task.

In respect to my instructional model, Systematic Instructional Design, the text and my module focused on both cognitive and constructivist models. Therefore, ID encompases learning theories and may look differently depending on which theory the instructor, designer, and/or developer choose to use in their learning environment. However, in my profession, I feel that I use a combination of constructivist learning theory among others within my instructional strategy.
