I picked this quote because it reminded me of how life is constantly evolving and you cannot control it, but then you have faith that it was all work out and you trust, it will all be okay.

role of intuition, imagination, and vision in my perfect Walden:
"I am a monarch of all I survey, / My right there is none to dispute" (Walden).
I picked this quote as the role of imagination and etc. because this Walden quote explains that Thoureau feels powerful and comforted in his "Happy Place." I liked this because he said his right to be there is none to dispute and that is how you should feel in your safety place, like you deserve and earned your way to be there.

nature:
"the light which puts out our eyes is darkness to us. Only that day dawns to which we are awake. There is more day to dawns. The sun is but a morning star" (Walden).
I chose this quote for nature because it describes the light of the sun when it says "there is more day to dawns" and to me that means how there is more time in the day to live than fresh starts in the mornings. It reminds me that you don't need to wait for a new day, month, or year to make a change in your life. We only have a short amount of time, so use it wisely. 

Confidence that the universe is organic, welcoming, and inherently good:
"In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness" (Walden).
I liked this quote because of how it explains that the laws of the universe are less complex and how when you are in your Walden, your safe place, everything is simplified and you can let go of the things that plague you.

Individualism: "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer" (Walden). 
I chose this quote because I liked what it means about being yourself. I don't think this is true for me and my transcendentalist world - I feel that I'd adapt to the seasons and it's challenges. This is both figuratively and literally as the human mind is made to adapt to challenges that are mental... but in the literal sense, I'd adapt with the seasons by activity or something. When you live without guilt, you'll have a voice in this world. In a city where there are so many people, you have to be honest with yourself.

When people have a lot of money or are successful, they like to flaunt it, sometimes you don't got to do that. Be humble and explore the city :)

Skyscrapers are like tall trees and fit more people in a smaller area. New York is called the concrete jungle :)

We like to think that the universe is good in a city full of facades. The frozen wasteland (In this case, it's Antarctica), believably, is not the first place a person would pick as a paradise. It isn't very easy to live on at all! However, surviving isn't the point. Take another look: amazing creatures like polar bears and arctic foxes and penguins and seals, among hundreds of other arctic species, make their home on the continent of ice. Then, look to the sky. So far out in the cold north, all traces of civilization melt away, and the stars shine down in full force. Perhaps it is all a matter of perspective. To some, I'm sure, the sheer cold and endless expanse of nothing would be awfully boring and repulsive. Others may find a special significance in the ice desert, such as a connection to the world or a place to 'chill' for a while. To many it would be an unlivable climate without any purpose, while others, specifically the animals who do live there, could make their home nowhere else. Everywhere, across the whole Earth, every biome, every ocean, each stick and stone, it is all designed in a particular, purposeful way. Life evolved as it did, balanced and even, where every creature can share in its advantages.
