The Year 2000 problem is also known as the Y2K problem, the Millennium bug or the Y2K bug.

Problems were because programmers represented the four-digit year with only the final two digits. This made the year 2000 hard to recognice from 1900, that's why people said that the software only worked during the years whose names began with 19. A lot of companies and organizations for all over the world reviewed, corrected and updated their computer systems.
¿What happened when 2000 arrived?
When 1 January 2000 arrived, there were minor problems. Consequences did not always result exactly at midnight.  Not all problems were caused by the Y2K programming, one of the eported problems was in Onagawa, Japan, where an alarm sounded at a nuclear power plant at two minutes after midnight.

Jane visits Miss Bingley and it stars to rain on her way, catching a serious cold. Mr Collins, a cousin of Mr Bennet, visits the Bennet family. He plans to propose marriage to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth and her hosts are frequently invited to Rosings Park, the home of Lady Catherine, Lady Catherine is Mr Darcy's aunt and he expects Mr Darcy to marry her daughter. Mr Darcy and his cousin, Colonel FitzWilliam, visit Lady Catherine. Mr Darcy has fallen in love with Elizabeth and proposes marriage to her but she rejects him. Some months later, Elizabeth and her aunt and uncle visit Mr Darcy's home. Then she received very shocking news from Longbourne, her sister Lydia has escaped with Mr Wickham. After wait, Mr Wickham proposes marriage to Lydia, Lydia visits Elizabeth and tells her that Mr Darcy was at the wedding. Mr Bingley and Mr Darcy return to Netherfield. Bingley proposes marriage to Jane and is accepted. Lady Catherine visits Elizabeth under the impression that she is going to marry with Mr Darcy. Darcy and Elizabeth go for a walk together and Elizabeth thanks him for all he has done for her family. Darcy answer that he thought only of her.
