Kete is primarily associated with the Ashanti tribe. Kete is performed during funeral celebration, festivals and occassions. The drums played are called atumpan and women accompany the drums by which also encourages people to dance. I prepared Kenkey using corn dough, fried fish and made shitto alongside a source, blended peppers, onions and tomatoes.
