<title>The cultural clashes that Ashoke and Ashima experience in America develops the struggles that come with living in a new place and adapting to a foreign culture. Americans seem to be culturally insensitive towards them and their lifestyle. Their identities are being torn between choosing their social norms and having to fit into a society that doesn&#39;t recognize their culture. We think the reader is obligated to learn from their cultural differences and become more accepting, openminded, and kind to the immigrants trying to live in a new society. </title>
